Many people keep four to five alarms at a few minutes' intervals.
-
There is no need to set up an alarm if you have good, adequate, sound sleep for an adequate number of hrs. You will wakeup yourself. Everyone’s requirement of sleep is different. You need to find your requirements. Do not match it with someone else.
-
Request pillow to wake you up. It has always worked for me, sounds silly and superstitious but works for me.
-
Keep only one alarm. If you keep many, chances are that you are going to dismiss all earlier ones and wake up only when the last alarm goes off. You know that you have more than one alarm, so naturally, you are going to ignore earlier ones.
-
Numerous alarms disturb your sleep. You wake up with each alarm and then go back to sleep leading to interrupted sleep which is not refreshing.
-
Keep alarm volume high and sound annoying.
-
Keep your phone or clock at that distance where you have to get up completely from the bed and walk a little.
-
Sleep on time, the night before, so that you wake up on time.
-
Waking up suddenly, as with alarm, can startle you and give stress.
-
If you keep one alarm, it will keep going off at a few min intervals or will beep continuously, if you do not dismiss. So basically it serves as multiple alarms. So, no need to keep many alarms.
-
If you get used to snoozing alarms, chances are high that you will sleep through the last alarm also. If you keep one alarm, it will keep going off at a few min intervals or will beep continuously, if you do not dismiss. So basically it serves as multiple alarms. So, no need to keep many alarms.
