Many think that animals have a free life and endless space to live and explore. However, they are continuously at risk of being hurt or killed. They are always alert and watching for prey and as well as predators. Some dolphins, whales, and birds sleep with half brain still working and one eye open. Many animals do not store food. They hunt and eat whatever amount they can at that time. When they are hungry again, they start a fresh hunt. They have to run and hunt down the prey when they are hungry and therefore weaker.
Some believe that when animals are near their end, they fall behind or leave the group. Some animals do take care of their old, diseased group members.
Animals may die for many varied reasons. Some of these are:
- Hunger- They have to constantly search for food. If they are not fit to hunt, they die of starvation.
- Injuries in the wild, accidents on roads
- Weakness or emaciation in old age
- Climate, natural disasters, change of habitat
- Diseases, infections
- Fight within the group or with other animals
- by predators, hunters
- Separation from the group.
Even after death, they become food for others. When an animal dies, most likely scavengers eat him. This system does not utilize any extra resources, removes dead bodies, does not pollute the environment, and returns everything to nature.
Not compare, how privileged are we? Do we have to be on alert constantly, even during sleep? Do we need to go out and find food everytime we are hungry? Even after death we utilize resources e.g. burial space, coffin, preservatives, wood, separate space for cremation. I have heard that some humans are opting for a similar method called Sky Burial. In Sky Burial dead human body is placed on a mountain top or outside in wild to be eaten by birds, animals or insects
