One or a few liners

One Liners

  1. VIdur was an avatar of Yam and Yudhister was the son of Yam Devta. How can Yam (self as Vidur) fight with Yudhister ( his son)? That is why (maybe), Vidur fought from Pandavs side.

  2. The glass around the lamp or Diya contains both light and soot. To see light, we have to clean the black soot from the inner side of the glass.

  3. No child is bastard or illegitimate. If parents abandon their child then they are bastards, not the child. If parents illegitimately get a child then they are the illegitimate parents, the child is never illegitimate.

  8. Smile does not cost anything but it can create wrong impressions.

  9. It is Dharm or Dharmah, nor Dharma. It is Karm, not Karma. It is Moksh, not Moksha. Why 'a' gets added to everything?

  12. Shiv is Aadiyogi, Krishn is Yogeshwar. The basic principle of Yog is to look inside, serve with dispassion, no one is evil, there is Divinity in everyone. Yog is practiced individually.

Dharm is for the larger good. Dharm requires to fight with evil or wrong, if needed. Both Shiv and Krishn uphold Dharm and are supreme Yogis. Seems paradoxical. Brahmcharya ( One of the Yams) is an important part of Yog. Shiv and Krishn are Yogis but both were married and had children..

Saying namaste and bowing down is okay but it does not mean that we endorse everything about that person. 'There is divinity in everyone' does not translate to 'everyone in this world is good and deserves respect'.

Same thing applies to feet touching. Giving regards is one thing but following path of Dharm is different.

  3. Ramayan and Mahabharat are Itihaas now but at the time of writting, these were happening. These were not Itihaas at that time. Valmiki wrote Ramayan in present tense. Ved Vyas narrated Mahabharat. He was part of that. He is father of Pandu and Dhritarastra and grandfather of Pandavs and Kauravs. It is his family saga.

  4. King Ashok did not do his dharm when he left in pursuit of enlightenment. As a king, it was his dharm to find a worthy heir and handover his kingdom to him.

  7. Even after completing Hindu Dharm internship/course, students address their course teacher as uncle or Aunti.

  8. I am only a Nimitmatr. It is a common saying. Before becoming that Nimitmatr, think for what are you becoming Nimit. Is that a Dharmic goal or action?
