My Website

These days, I am mostly writing on my website/blog. Previously, I used to write on Facebook, submit my articles for publication in an online news portal, save some articles in e-mail, publish videos on YouTube, etc.

I noticed that I was spending a good amount of time checking how many people saw my post and what comments I got. This was taking my precious time away from me. I was left with less time to do other things and write new articles.

Some self-realization prevailed and I stopped tracking views and comments. I started writing on my website exclusively.

I am not actively promoting my site. On my website, there is no option for people to subscribe, like, and comment. This gives me the freedom to write whatever comes to mind. Now, I do not spend any time on tracking how many people are reading my articles. As not many people know about this website, I feel free to write at my own pace and de-clutter my mind without thinking about others' opinions.

This collection of writings in one place keeps date wise track of my thoughts. It gives me the flexibility to add and delete content whenever I need to. I can go back to see my thoughts progress and changes in thinking over time. It gives me immense pleasure to read my old posts. Sometimes, I self-reflect based on what I wrote in the past. It assures me that the purpose of writing is to pen down my thoughts, not to show it to others for taking some kind of credit.
