Feathers do not get wet in water. Similarly we should live in Prakriti but should not get attached to it.

When offered a mixture of milk and water, swam only drinks milk and leaves water. This quality represents vivek or wisdom to discrimate between eternal and effimiral or good and evil.

हंस श्वेतः बकः श्वेतः, को भेदः बकहंसयोः । नीरक्षीरविवेके तु हंसो हंसः बको बकः ॥

हंस सफेद है, बगुला सफेद है, तो हंस और बगुले में क्या भेद है ? जिस प्रकार पानी और दूध में भेद करने के ज्ञान से पानी, पानी होता है और दूध , दूध होता है । उसी प्रकार हंस, हंस होता है, बगुला, बगुला ही होता है ।
