Today

Today was Saturday. I woke up and for breakfast I ate pancakes. I got ready to go to the UIC Forum to see an event called Summer Project Fair organized by Parent Power Chicago. Me and my family left the house and walked to the UIC Forum. There were many volunteers, some were UIC students. There was a registration desk where tickets were checked and information about the event was given. There were lots of stalls which had people who told you about summer camps. The stalls had candy, bags, fruit snacks, pens, handouts, information about their programs, and water bottles that the people there gave out. The programs were for pre-k to high school students. Some were paid and some were free. Some were located in and some were located out of the city. The people at the stalls were very friendly and answered any questions you asked them. I stayed there for three hours. Then I went to a store called Dairy Delights which had ice cream and milkshakes. I went to a Indian store called Gareeb Navaz. We got some carry out food. My dad got some Mexican food from a vendor stall. I also went to an art gallery called the Puja Gallery and the exhibition was on history of Chicago women with HIV. Then I walked home.
