True love: for once in my life
Husband and wife with two children. The husband has an extramarital affair. Wife gives divorce to husband. He marries his mistress and again becomes the father of a boy. The first wife takes care of her two children and her in-laws. She can not erase the ex-husband from her memories and life. She even stops her children from meeting their stepmother. Her ex-husband gets brain cancer with metastasis. Now, his wife and ex-wife compete to take care of him in his last days. All his insurance money and wealth goes to his legal wife. At his funeral, his legal wife and children are considered the family. The ex-wife is considered a friend. She quietly slides her wedding ring onto her ex-husband's finger in the coffin.
The movie is trying to depict that the first wife's love is true and that she only loved that man even after divorce.
I will give this movie very low marks on the storyline and message conveyed.
Everyone has their own relation with others. Divorced wife is trying to keeps children away from their step mother. After divorce she should not be interferring in her ex-husband's matters. Legal wife has the first right on husbands assets unless he specifically writes a different will.
Why husband did not leave any financial assets to his first wife in his will?
It was a one sided love. Ex wife lived in fantasy thinking that she and ex-husband love each other.
Man betrayed his wife and then his second wife by being emotionally involved with his ex-wife and still both women are competing to take care of him.
Man deserted his wife and still dares to ask his ex-wife to take care of his parents and his wife agrees. Is this true love?
Was not it ethically wrong to put a wedding ring on someone's finger when he married another woman?
Feeling isolated inside but still trying to socially fit in and pretend friendliness does not give solace or inner peace. Real and permanent happiness comes from inside us.
