There are many worlds. These get created and destroyed at different times. This cycle keeps going on.
Immediately after creation, it is perfect but then slowly the inbuilt intricacies and flaws take it towards destruction and annihilation.
Initially, there are few creatures, abundant resources, and Shrutis or knowledge.
Then the population increases, resources become scarce, knowledge is diluted, forgotten, and Moh Maya starts taking over the hold.
Shruti is something that is heard. The tradition of verbal transfer of knowledge moves towards pictures, writing, printing, etc. These all use natural resources and slowly overtime changes the meaning or gets mixed up.
People start to explore Prakriti and in turn damage the fabric of harmony. Exploration leads to the use of more resources, building of artificial things, destruction of natural things, new diseases, divisions, etc.
So, basically, every step after creation leads to disharmony and destruction and final doom. There is no escape from it and nothing can prevent it. This is the cosmic dance.
