I went to Yellowstone national park with my whole family for part of summer break.I stayed there for a week in multiple hotels and in different areas near Yellowstone like Grand Teton national park and Jackson Hole city.We were in Yellowstone for four days and in Grand Teton for 2 days.We stayed in Jackson Hole for one day..We flew to Yellowstone and the flight took three hours(one way). There were lots of amazing places. There were also a lot of bugs that were REALLY annoying. My family and I went motor boating in the Marina(in Grand Teton) for two hours.Me and my parents went hiking on a really tall and steep mountain. There were lots of small villages like Colter Bay and Teton Village. There is a giant river called Snake river that runs through Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We had to travel hundreds of miles on our trip so we rented a Chevrolet Traverse LTZ for a week from Hertz. Our total cost of the whole vacation including the rental car ,airplane tickets, food, and other thing was aproximately $7000.I got 5 stuffed animals/souvenirs from all the places we went. This included a wolf, wolf pup, bison, bison calf, and a bear😊.We saw lots of geysers and saw old faithful erupt.Yellowstone has over half the worlds geysers. There were lots of bugs there so the trip was not good and it wasn't really a vacation😃.We saw lots of animals like bison, elk, and moose. They were not interesting😒.We got really close to a pronghorn but it didnt attack us😅.My family stayed in 3 different hotels during the trip. They were
Painted Buffalo Inn Headwaters cabins Days Inn
Painted Buffalo Inn was by far the best since it had a pool and really good continental breakfast😊.Headwaters was terrible 😈 since they gave us wood cabins which had no TV or wifi since the cabins and headwaters was in the middle of nowhere. The parking was really far from the actual cabin.Days Inn was decent😑.The pool had a waterslide but the breakfast cost money and tasted bad.My brother has a list of some of the best attractions in yellowstone:
- Norris Geyser Basin
- Lamar Valley
- Mammoth Hot Spring
- Old faithful and surrounding area
- Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
- Firehole river
- Signal mountain
There were 13 major attractions in total and me and my family hiked two mountains and went on 9 trails. There were many stops on the roadside with overlooks into canons and rivers and other things. It was a good trip and My family is planning to go to another national park later in the year.Thank you for reading.😎 😊 :)
